Cooler months are here, which means warmer drinks are on our menu to add a bit of cozy to the tipsy that comes with every Drinks & Discussion. Why coffee, specifically? Our November author, the revered James Baldwin, spent many of his days as an expatriate in Parisian cafes. His favs were Cafe de Flore and Les Deux Magots in the St.-German-des-Pres district of Paris. We’re following in his footsteps this month as we read If Beale Street Could Talk.
GRAND FRENCH COFFEE
1 - 1/3 oz Grand Marnier
3 - 1/3 of coffee
Easy peasy: combine Grand Marnier liqueur and coffee. Top lightly with whipped cream.
Encourage your chapter members to bring their own mugs to Drinks & Discussion. Most creative gets an extra shot.
Use premium coffee for a richer, more aromatic combination.
Pour in the heated Grand Marnier first so that it is saturated with the flavors of the coffee.
