Another sweet cocktail for spring: Tequila Honeysuckle. Grab some honey, tequila, and lime juice, shake it, and sip while you discuss our Historical Fiction selection, American Spy by Lauren Wilkinson.
2 oz Milagro Blanco tequila
0.75 oz Honey simple syrup
0.75 oz lime juice
Limes for garnish
Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice and… shake. Strain into a cup and garnish with a lime wedge.
You can purchase honey syrup, or you can make it yourself: put equal parts honey and water in a small saucepan. Boil, then turn down to a dimmer and stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Make sure the syrup is cool before adding it to the cocktail. This step can take up to 30 minutes. If made days or hours before consuming, store in an airtight container (glass jars are perfect) in the fridge. This syrup can be refrigerated up to two weeks.
